PinchukArtCentre presents video profiles of 20 nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2011

PinchukArtCentre presents video interviews of 20 nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2011. They are available for viewing on the official website of the art centre.

In their interviews artists including Daniil Galkin, Andriy Halashyn, Dobrynia Ivanov, Mykyta Kadan, Zhanna Kadyrova, Taras Kamennoy, Olesia Khomenko, Alina Kleitman, Volodymyr Kuznetsov, Lada Nakonechna, Serhiy Petlyuk, Serhiy Radkevych, Stepan Riabchenko, Mykola Ridnyi, Mykyta Shalennyi, Masha Shubina, Natasha Shulte, Ivan Svitlychnyi, Hamlet Zinkovskyi, Salmanov-Kornienko group (Oleksiy Salmanov; Dmytro Kornienko) tell about concept of the works, creation process and etc.   

The exhibition displayed on the 3rd and 4th floor of the art centre features 20 new artists’ statements and includes more than 60 works specially produced with the support of the PinchukArtCentre. The exhibition is open from until January 8, 2012.

PinchukArtCentre continues bringing contemporary art into the public space embedding it into daily life having placed a special installation by Zhanna Kadyrova in front of the PinchukArtCentre and a monumental mural by Serhiy Radkevych inside the historical Bessarabskiy market.

The PinchukArtCentre Prize 2011 Award Ceremony will take place on
December 9, 2011 in Kyiv. The winners of the Main and the two Special prizes will be determined by the international jury who will come to Kyiv.

The winner of the Public Choice Prize shall be determined by the vote of the Prize exhibition visitors. The voting will last from October 27 to December 4, 2011 at the PinchukArtCentre.

The winners of the Main and two Special Prizes, besides cash awards of
UAH 100 000 and UAH 25 000 respectively, will have one month residence in studios of internationally renowned artists. Additionally, the winner of the Main Prize will be automatically included in the short list of the Future Generation Art Prize 2012 - international prize for young artists. The winner in the "Public Choice Prize” nomination will be awarded UAH 10 000.
