Anna Scherbyna

Born in Zaporizhzhya in 1988, she has lived and worked in Kyiv since 2009. Uses such media as painting, sketches, installations and video in her artistic practice. Graduated from the Odesa Art College and the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. Studied modern art at the Visual Communication School in Kyiv (the course was developed by Kateryna Badyanova and Lada Nakonechna, 2013-2014) and in the summer school of the School of Engaged Art Chto Delat (Berlin, 2014). Co-founded the Collective of Specific Dates (2015-2017) and the YOD group (2013-2015). Took part in such projects as “The cave of a golden rose”, Closer Art Centre, Kyiv (2019), “One’s own space”, PinchukArtCentre, Kyiv (2018), “A distaff, a sabre and a deer”, the Stanytsya Luganska local history museum, Ukraine (2018), “Ukraine on fire”, PinchukArtCentre, Kyiv (together with the Collective of Specific Dates) (2017); “Social realism. Pretend to be different”, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Kyiv (2017).
