PinchukArtCentre Announces 20 Nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2025
PinchukArtCentre announces the artists shortlisted for the 8th edition of the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists aged 35 or younger.
Applications are accepted via the website prize.pinchukartcentre.org from June 3 to July 28, 2024.
20 nominees will create new works for an exhibition in PinchukArtCentre, which will take place in 2025. At the award ceremony, members of the International Jury will determine the winner of the Grand Prize of UAH 400,000 and two Special Prizes of UAH 100,000 each. The winner of the Public Prize in the amount of UAH 40,000 will be determined based on votes of the visitors of the nominees’ exhibition.
The winner of the PinchukArtCentre Prize automatically becomes a nominee of the international Future Generation Art Prize 2025/26, which opens up even more opportunities for professional development.
20 nominees for the Prize will be determined by the Selection Commission in August 2024.
Artists or art groups who are Ukrainian citizens working with any forms of contemporary art are invited to apply. An artist (or an art group) can submit from 3 to 7 works for the Prize. Applications shall be filed in line with the regulations of the PinchukArtCentre Prize.
The PinchukArtCentre Prize is a nationwide contemporary art prize awarded every two years starting from 2009 to Ukrainian artists up to and including 35 years of age. This is the first private award in Ukraine aimed at discovering, supporting, and developing a new generation of young Ukrainian artists.
Thanks to the Prize, the art center strives to ramp up the interest in contemporary art in Ukraine and, by supporting the creation of new works, to form a community of young artists who will be working on the national and international art scenes. In addition, the Prize aims to facilitate Kyiv becoming one of the leading cultural centers of the world.
